bro.skis.

It's Friday. Duke and Sam are in town. And as far as I'm concerned, that's pretty darn close to a perfect storm of happiness.

I hope you're showered with weekend goodness, too! Enjoy your 48!

making a list and checking it twice

Wellp, November is here, Sam's birthday has passed, and, although I am not OK with people playing Christmas music or decorating this early (let's respect Thanksgobble), I am totally comfortable starting my Christmas list.

Anybody asking for something awesome? I'm not quite sure what I want to put on mine yet, but I think it's time to start perusing. I really don't have many ideas and Muff wants a list! Holler at a girl.

PS: I can always find inspiration here. Ah. Happy.

sum sum sum

I've been really spoiled the last few weekends, with a visit from Jamie, followed by a trip to Florida with my bests, followed by a visit by Duke and Sam.

It has been very happy :)

Duke and Sam arrive today!

Yaay big yaay!

My fridge is stocked with protein (hummus, eggs, veggie burgers, duh) and apple crisp. We've got big plans, including their first MLB baseball game and all signs point to an excellent weekend ahead.

Nothing like starting the weekend on a Wednesday :)

jump on it

Quite a few years ago, Courtney, Ashley, my mom and I were driving back from the Outer Banks when we got a call from Sam.

"What are you doing?" my mom asked him.
"Oh, not too much, Zack and I are just jumping off the roof to the trampoline."

No big deal.

I'm thinking this underground trampoline would have been an excellent solution...

Cutie kids :)

take me there

Later this spring my siblings and I will be venturing to Australia to visit Sam. He's already been sending us descriptions of the warm sun, his instant base-tan, and the ocean that's just two blocks away. I was excited to begin with, but now I'm beyond antsy. Would it be inappropriate to start packing now?

Although the plane ticket hurt upon purchase, it didn't take long for me to begin wondering if I'll need a new wardrobe for the trip. For some reason the beach bums he's been describing don't strike me as preppy, cardi-wearing types. I'm dreaming of a wavy hair and sandal-clad week, sans straightener.
